My Birthday Week / 誕生日の週末♪ -Sunday-

I thought I would stay at home and work all day long. But I got an info from Jeff about Felt Club. I was like "oh hey, it's today!!" and I called Yas and Meg on the phone, and of course, they wanted to go! hehe
I've been to one in last year but this year was way bigger than last one. They got 150 booths to show their work at the Shrine Auditorium Expo Center, and believe me they were all artsy, creative, and cute!! I just couldn't resist some of them, and I got take them home. :) I really admire those creative people, and would like to support them. I wished I could be creative this much!

今週末最後、日曜日は家にこもって仕事、仕事、仕事、、、と思ってたのですが、えびちゃん情報で今日Felt Clubがあるというではないの！ということで、絶対にこういうのが好きなやすえちゃん、めぐっぺと一緒に行って来ました。（めぐっぺは先に行っちゃってたけどね、、、）去年よりブースが全然多くて、150件にも上ってました。もう全部かわいくて、クリエイティブで、ほしいーー！ってことになりそうでしたが、ほどほどに押さえることに成功。でもヘアピンが安くて結構買ってしまったよ、、。私もこんなクリエイティブになりたいわ〜。

Friday

I celebrated my birthday casual this time at bars it's called "The Room" and "Beauty Bar". No dinner, No expensive bill! :) I just wanted to get together with people I love, and have a great time with drinks only! hehe.
Thank you so much for everyone who wished my birthday!! I had a really good time and I got more bless this time than ever! I wanted to get drunk this time like getting crazy and dance on the counter at the bar or something, but... it didn't happen... I was busy talking to everyone (which I had a lot of fun of course) and forgot to drink.. lol!

今回の誕生日はシンプルに仲良い友達とおいしいお酒を飲むだけにしました。以前はディナーパーティーとかしてたけど、やっぱり高くなっちゃうからね。飲むだけならプレッシャーなし！それにもっとたくさんの人に来てもらいたかったからね。今回はThe RoomとBeauty Barで楽しみました。
私の誕生日を祝って下さった皆さん、本当にありがとうございました〜。今までよりも多くの人から祝ってもらって超嬉しかったです。本当は酔っぱらって記憶なくしてぎゃーーー！とやりたかったんですが、たくさんの方にいらっしゃってもらっておしゃべりばかりしてて、飲むの忘れてました。ま〜でもなんつったって35だからね。そんな記憶なくしてへべれけになっても恥ずかしいか、、、

Saturday
I started my Saturday with a nice lunch with my friend from work at her boyfriend's restaurant, Vivoli Cafe on Sunset Blvd. I love this place because the taste, and the portion. You can get to choose Appetizer size or Full meal size. I chose Appetizer size so then I can get to taste more dishes! I order Lasagna all Bolongnese, and Gnocchetti come a Sorrento (Gnocchi with Tomato sauce). M,m,mmm!! They are sooo Good! My friend ordered from a Branch menu. I believe it was a spinach saute with eggs on toast. It was soo yummy too!

土曜日は友達と一緒においしいイタリアンランチで始めました。ここ、Vivoli Cafeはめちゃくちゃおいしいと共に、お食事のサイズが選べちゃう。アペタイザーサイズとフルサイズ。私はアペタイザーサイズで２種類ぐらいパスタを選びました。そうするとたくさん味わえるからね！お得です。今回はミートソースラザニアとトマトソースのニョッキ。超超！おいしかった！友達はほうれん草のソテーとたまごがのったサンドを食べてました。どれもめっちゃおいしかったよww

And Saturday night, Meg and I went to Graficomovil Release Party. We were expecting kind of bigger party than this... but it was fun. We saw print making process of Artemio Rodriguez, and got to talk to him and taken a picture with him. This whole party purpose was raising the fund for Graficomovil which means Graphic Art on Truck, I suppose. Since I saw his art at the Art Walk a couple weeks ago, I wanted to see more his work. I love his style like the print of Maria below.




土曜日の夜はめぐっぺとGraficomovilリリースパーティへ。２週間ぐらい前にガブリエルちゃん、まき＋たけ組と一緒にダウンタウンのArt Walkへ行った時に見かけたトラックなのですが、グラフィックアートがトラック中にびっしり！私はこういうの大好きです。初めてアートを買いたい！と 思ったほどです。もちろんこのトラックではありませんが、この横のマリアのプリントのようなアート。そんなに安いものじゃないけど、ちょっとお金貯めてみようかな。

We didn't expect this to be done Saturday night so early (we left the party like within an hour...) so we decided to drive around in Echo Park. We found a couple parties and vintage shops open so we stopped by, and we found...

Stinkers Bar in Silverlake!! This is a Skunk-theme bar. I thought it was a cool funny theme bar, and Meg and I decided to stick around for a couple hours.

このリリースパーティーがこんなにも早く終わるだなんて計画していなかっためぐっぺと私はこの後、エコーパークをぐるりとドライブ。On Sunsetで２つぐらいパーティを見つけて、立ち寄ってみることに。その後、なんとスカンクがテーマのバーを発見！お友達のまきこちゃんのブログに書いてあったとめぐっぺが言うので面白うそうだと思って立ち寄ってみました。



Every an hour, those Skunks from the wall will start farting! Everyone watch out!! lol! No... it was just dry ice. hehe
It's really cool that there are full of beer cans on the wall too!

毎１時間に壁に並んでるスカンク達がぷしゅ〜〜〜とおならをします！一瞬本当にすごいにおいがするのかと思ったら、ドライアイスだった！ふー、びっくりした。壁にはスカンクと一緒にビールの缶でびっちり！これもすごいよ。

What a hell am I doing?? I am supposed to be working right now but I got hooked on this... I just had to do on my baby kitty, Nash. It's so funny to see "real" him after looking at his pics as a human being. I forget he was actually a cat... Too bad he is not real human being... (Am I getting to be a crazy cat lady??? Yikes!...)

After I saw Makipoo's Blog, and I laughed so hard looking at her and her hubby's faces, I just had to try this out myself. This "Yearbook Yourself" website is pretty hilarious. You can enjoy 26 styles between 50's to Year 2000! My Favorite style is with glasses!! Soul Style makes me laugh a lot.

まきぷーのブログを見て大笑いした後、ちょっと私もトライしたくなりました。「Yearbook Yourself」っていうウェブサイトなんだけど、50年代から2000年の間まで26スタイル楽しめるよ。私のお気に入りは眼鏡スタイル！こういう格好してみたいわ〜。ソウルスタイル、超笑える！

2nd half of 30s is about to begin!! / 30代後半が始まっちゃう！

My birthday is coming up soon... How many days left to enable to stay in 1st half of 30s...? :( From this Friday, 14th, I will jump in to 2nd half of 30s!! Sigh... But you know what though, women start to have a great life from 30s, no no, 2nd half of 30s. Yes! That's right, this is not the end of world!! haha

Anyway, my dad sent me an early birthday gift last week, and I had to try this. I don't know any of you remembered I mentioned about this "Home Star Spa" thing in my blog in June.

June 20th, 2008 Blog

Sweet of my dad, he remembered and sent me actually two of them! I don't know how that happened but I got 2 in the box. LOL.
So, last night since it was cold and windy, I had to try this "Home Star Spa". It's a planetarium that you can let it float in the water. And you can see Ray, Roses or Star on the water or wall. It's actually pretty. Thanks, Dad!! As I get warm in the hot tab, I could get to enjoy the stars in the sky... I mean ceiling. :)

今週の金曜日で30代後半が始まってしまう．．．。おろおろ．．．。どうしよう、あと５年で40？？？ひーー！怖いーー。まーでも女はこれからというからね。どんどん磨いていこう！
ということで、昨晩、ぴゅーぴゅーと風も強く寒い日だったので、お風呂を綺麗にした後、お湯をはってお風呂入りました。

皆さんは覚えてらっしゃるかどうか分かりませんが、６月のブログに「これが欲しい！」と書いていた「Home Star Spa」をうちの父が覚えてくれていて、誕生日プレゼントに送ってくれたのです！しかも２個も．．．。（なぜ？なんとなく理由分かるような気もするけど、これは妹と確認したいと思います。笑）
これを使いながらお風呂ちゃぷちゃぷしようかなーと思って、電気全部消して、入ってみたら、あらきれいーーー！ちょっと感激＋楽しかったです。

でもこれを使う時にぜひ父にも見せてあげたい！と思って、お風呂に入ってるにも関わらず、写真をぱちりぱちり撮ってたら、うちの猫ちん達が興味津々で見てる姿も撮りたくて、くるりと振り向いて１枚撮ろうとした途端、ばっちゃーーーん！と私は頭打ってお湯の中へひっくり返ってしまい、、、。肝心なカメラが濡れてはいかん！と必死で片手だけまっすぐに伸ばして濡れないようにがんばっていたおかげで濡れずに済みました．．．は〜危険、危険．．．。
なんたる34の最後．．．。泣

The Source of Power / パワーの源

Since a day before yesterday, I was getting sick, and yesterday was worst I felt... like my joint hurts, my body is hot, sneazing, and I felt like crap for whole day... but I went to see The Faint concert at Wiltern with my concert buddy, Meg.
I was debating myself I should go or not. And normally, if you are normal person, you won't go. You will just give to someone else who really wants to go (since it's sold out show), and get some nightquil and rest... But I didn't. I wanted to see The Faint so badly even though I might have a chance get worse next day.

As the opening bands, Mika Miko and Kool Keith were playing, I was like "hurry up and end!!" since their music sucked. Well, Mika Miko wasn't that bad. It was post punk music, and was pretty fun to listen. The Kool Keith was... SUCKED!
Anyway, I had a lot of fun at the Faint show. I guess a good music, good energy, and good dancing give me a power. I thought I would be a lot worse than a day before, but I guessed wrong!　I feel fine, and actually got better!! :)

おとといぐらいから風邪を引きまして、、、大統領選挙の時もベッドからくしゃみしながら、鼻をぐじゅつかせながら見てたのに、昨晩はどうしてもキャンセルできなかったものがあり、、、「the Faint」というバンドのコンサートに行ってきちゃいました。昨日は関節が痛かったり、くしゃみばかりしたり、ぼーーっとしてたし、こんなに自分の容態が良くないのに自分でもバカじゃないのかって思ってたのにも関わらず、、、踊ってしまいました。歌ってしまいました。こりゃー絶対に明日容態もっと悪くなるわと思いつつ。
でも次の日、全く逆ですっきーん！きらりーん！なぜかすっきりと目覚めることが出来き、容態良好！
まだ鼻はぐずついてるけどね。昨晩飲んだナイトクエルが効いたのかな。

でもThe Faint良かったわー。ノリが超良い！好き！！
前座のバンドは良くなかったけどな。Mika Miko と Kool Keithっていうのが前座だったけど、Mika Mikoはまーパンクバンドで面白かった。Kool Keith？はゆるせんくらいあほらしいラップ…。まーいいけど。

やっぱり私は音楽ラブなだけに、音楽からこのパワーが来とるんですな。
もうちょっとで風邪治ると思います☆☆
