Finally, I created my own design blog. Well, I downloaded the template from Word Press but I wanted to install into my server, re-modify the design a bit and create my own. I am not familiar with PHP program but finally I made it!! Woo Hoo!! I am happy I accomplished something. :)

As for contents... I will see how far I can go with it. I would like to put some inspired design (not only about web/print graphic design), some code/design technique + information that it will be helpful someone out there and myself, and notepad type of thing for myself.

What a nerd I am... Spending week nights, and some weekends to create my own blog.. lol
Hey, if you noticed anything on my blog, please let me know (like error page etc...).
I am still trying to figure some parts out but any of your help will be appreciated!

やっと！！自分のデザインブログを作ったよ。あまり大したことはありませんが、、、だって色んなテンプレートの中から自分が気に入ったテンプレートをWord Pressっていうブログ会社から探し出してダウンロードしただけですからね。でもダウンロードした後がちょっと試行錯誤。自分のサーバーに入れて、デザインなど自分の好きなようにするにはカスタマイズが必要で、、、汗　管理人ページの中ではまだまだエラーページが登場します、、、えーん。
でもまーここまで出来たからね。嬉しいよ〜♪

内容と言えばですが、、、自分で良いなと思ったデザイン（ウェブとかプリントデザインに関係なくね）、自分のための勉強になるようなコードテクやデザインテク（他の人のためにもなれればいいな）、他は、、ま〜メモパッドのような役割もきっと果たすことになるでしょう。
他の人にはつまんないけどね。

でも平日もたまには週末も出かけないでこんなことしてる最近の私、、、。大丈夫かね〜。笑

ま〜つまらんブログですが、これから宜しく☆ まだまだ建築中なところもありますが、何か気がついたら教えてね。

The SixtyOne - My Indie Music Treasure Box / 私の音楽の宝庫

I have found this website it's called "The Sixy One" http://www.thesixtyone.com quite a while ago, but this website is becoming my route/source of indie music (very indie sometimes) now. I find bands from who just made their debut the other day to some bands that I already know about and have been known quite sometimes now which I think it's very cool (ah, did you know to use "cool" is not cool anymore? Those "hip star" peeps use "deck" instead of "cool". "Cool" is dead now! lol) and I'm pretty stoked that I met this website.
You can find almost any type of music too. Like Alternative, Electronica, to Hip-Hop, or Pop.

The other day, I found "Viola", "Fresh Body Shop", and "Codes in the Clouds". I think they are pretty good. And I can't forget State Shirt....

They have fun functions too. If you like the song, you can give a "heart" to the song/artist so then the reputation of song/artist goes higher and more people will notice them. 先日といっても結構前ですが、The Sixty Oneというウェブサイトを見つけました。これを最近毎日使ってる私に取って、このサイトは私の音楽情報の源というか宝庫と言うか。。。すごい気に入ってます。インディー音楽（たまにめちゃくちゃインディーものを見つけます）でもロック、エレクトロ、ハウスなどからヒップホップやポップまで色んなジャンルが見つかるんですよ。この間アルバムデビューしました！っていうバンドもいたり、結構名の知れてるバンドやアーティストなどもいたりで毎日の発見が嬉しいです。

最近「お！いいじゃーん！」って思ったのが、Viola, Fresh Body Shop, そして Codes in the Cloudsです。もしかして、そんなん、有名だよ！って言われるかも知れないけど。。。でもこのバンド達いいわ〜〜。特にViolaいい！リンクは↑にあるよww State Shirtも気になる。。。

それにこのサイトには面白い機能があって、気に入った曲、アーティストには一つ「♥」を上げられるんです。１日に上げられる♥は決まってるんですが、この♥を上げるだけで評判も上がり、もっとたくさんの人がこの曲に注目するっていうシステムになってます。ある意味、自分の好きなアーティストをサポート出来るということで、自分は気に入ってます。
まだまだこのサイト、知られてないのか登録されてるアーティストの数はまだまだだと思いますが、ここでちょくちょくチェックしたいと思います。

What a nice day!! / めっちゃいい天気！

Today was such a nice day! Perfect weather for Sunday. My friend, Gabu chan and I went to a gym and worked out (Turbo Kick Box... too much steps and too hard for us! lol), and stopped by a Farmer's Market on Selma + Ivar Ave. I haven't stopped by and shopped at Farmer's Market for a while. They got a lot of fresh vegies, fruits, flowers etc.. I got this "Organic Certified Fuji Apple". It was $3 for a pound but it is SO SWEET! Wow. Unbelievable. I don't like apples much but Fuji is exceptional. :) But I think this kind is different if you compared from regular Fuji. You have to look for "Organic Certifed".

今日はめちゃめちゃ良い天気。友達のがぶちゃんとジムへ行き（ターボキックボクシング。。。私達向きではないことが判明。ダンスみたくステップありすぎ。。。）、汗だくだくながら気持ちいい運動を終えた後、目の前にあるファーマーズマーケットへ行ってみました。新鮮なお野菜、果物、お花たーーくさんある中、私のヒットは「オーガニック証明付き（？）フジアップル」。なんか黄色くて熟れてないように見えるのに、超甘い！！！すごい、これ。普通のフジよりめちゃくちゃおいしーー！１パウンドに付き３ドルでした。

My latest keyword to look for in men is well, actually I have 2 keywords: Mustache and Gray Hair. I find men are very sexy with these 2 looks (well, not like grandpa gray hair....). I've been telling my friends for a while if they have either mustache or gray hair (well, both will be PERFECT!), that will be the one for me (well, there are more things to look into though). :) I feel very manish, strong and sexy from them.

Today, my friend Midori told me that to have mustache is a very stylish to do for hip star guys. Hmm... really... ? I haven't seen that many guys with mustache yet... But the mustache has to look good on them otherwise I won't consider them "sexy". Uh huh!!

Hmm.. let's see who got great mustache...? I searched on Google who got great mustache.
Well, I even found American Mustache Institute (AMI!)!! hahaha Who knew there is an institute for mustache existed!

最近男性を見る時に「お！」素敵だなーと思うキーワードが２つあります。「ひげ」と「白髪」です（おじーちゃん白髪じゃないからねw）。この２つがあると、男らしさ、強さ、セクシーさを感じさせるんです。口ひげなんて特に見るとどきどきする！！

なんていう話を友達にずっと前からしていた訳ですが、ちょうど今日、友達のみどりんが最近ヒップスターの間で流行ってるのが「ひげ」らしいということを聞き、ちょっと嬉しかったですね〜〜。これからひげ男性を多く見れるのかと思うと。。ふふ。でも似合う、似合わないは別ですからね。似合ってないと問題外です！

で、ちょっと気になってググってみたらいろいろとひげが出て来た！しかもアメリカにはアメリカひげ連盟みたいなのがある！アメリカにはなんでもあるんだなー。「ひげ」ソングもあるし、「今月のひげ」特集もあるからね。びっくりですww

I started to listen non-Japanese pop songs (especially Brit Pop) since I was 6th grade. I was influenced my mom and dad who used love listening to American and European music. And Wham! was THE first record I bought in my life!　
I will post some my favorite songs just for my record.

めちゃくちゃ懐かしい～～～！小学6年生頃から両親の影響で洋楽に目覚めてたけど、Wham!のレコードが人生初めて買ったレコードだった！！はぁ～、ジョージ・マイケルのダンス、めちゃくちゃ好きだったわ～。

Friendly Fires + Hockey @ Troubadour

Friendly Fires came to give us an energized performance again!! This time was at the Troubadour in West Hollywood. One of my favorite venues!
They came to perform with Hockey (from Portland, Oregon) and this band is not bad at all! I love their sound.

I thought Friendly Fires showed us more powerful performance this time than last time at the Spaceland. They sung, danced (Ed - vocalist- was shaking his butt really good lol), sweated, spitted while singing and blew snot like a crazy. haha My friend, Gabu chan and I were so close to the stage that we thought we would get Ed's sweat and spit all over on us... You had to be there to see this crazyness.

We had a lot of fun and got to listened and enjoyed the new version of "Paris" too.

I can't forget about Hockey. I posted their official Youtube page. You should check the song "Too Fake". It's pretty good. You shouldn't miss out this band!


Friendly Firesがまたやって参りました！！今回のベニューは私の好きなWest HollywoodにあるThe Troubadourです。本当に私はここが大好き！結構小さいベニューだし、アーティストが自分の横でビール買ってるみたいな！普通に友達とリラックスしてるみたいな！ボーカルのEdがわっせわっせ仲間のためにビールを運んでる姿見て、一瞬話しかけたかったけど、一生懸命な顔してたからテンパってるのかも。。と思い、止めておきました。ちょっと残念。でもそれだけちっちゃなベニューなんです！

いや〜、今回は前回のSpacelandよりももっとパワフルにエネルギッシュなパフォーマンスをしてくれました。腰ふりふりダンスあり、汗びっちゃり飛び散りあり、つばぺっぺあり、鼻水まで飛ばしてましたからね〜。迫力があって驚き、ちょっと引き、、、つつ、、やっぱり良いからノッちゃいましたね。ふふ。最後まで楽しかった〜！
しかも、「Paris」の新しいバージョンをお披露目してくれました。途中からいつもCDで聴いてるのと全く違く、、、でもいいーー！ビデオで録画してればなー。お見せできたのに。。。

オープンニングバンド、Hockeyも超いい！これはめっけもんです。ぜひぜひ聴いたことのない人は聴いてみて！（"Too Fake" 好き！）ボーカルの歌い方がStrokesのJulian Casablancasとか若い時のRod Stewartに似てるって思うのですが、、、私だけ？ショーの後でファンの人とおしゃべりしたり、サイン上げたり、、、このバンドのサービス精神も◎！Friendly Firesのショーもちゃんと最後まで見てました。このバンド、注目したいです！

Ratatat @ Hollywood Palladium

Ratatat!! I missed you guys! This is my 4th time to see their show and they never betray my expectation. :) However, if I can complain, I have to admit that the regulation of Hollywood Palladium sucked after their renovation... like Henry Fonda... :(
We couldn't bring a camera, no pictures this time... :( , we were supposed to get a wrist band in order to see them closely or just being on the main floor (well, we were too late to get one..). So if anyone who has a plan to go to Hollywood Palladium to see a show, GET THERE EARLY! and get a wrist band. ;)

Anyway, back to Ratatat. This time, they played without the keyboard-the-poodle (look at my blog on July 14th, 2008) but they did good without him. They mixed songs evenly from both albums "Classiscs" and "LP3". That was great show. They were great on playing, and I felt so much energy however... not much talking. Maybe they said "Thank you!" for a few times and "Hold on sec. My guitar broke... I have to fix it...". I don't want the artist to talk on and on and on... but I want to hear a bit of them, you know? And if they don't arrange something much on their music just for the show, I feel like I should've stay home and just listen to my CD. :P
But the whole energy that I feel at the floor from artists and audiences... this is PRICELESS. ;)

I love their music.. their sound is so addictive, I want to listen to them more and more. I don't know what it is but I just can listen to their music over and over. Probably they use a lot of mid-tone.

This word "mid-tone" is a huge keyword for me based on music. No matter what kind of music that is, I just love "mid-tone". Sharp, flat... half up and half down.. Those tones are awesome, and make me... um.. emotional.. hehe.

Ratatatがまた来ましたよ〜〜！今度はHollywood Palladiumです。改築してから初めて行ったのですが、綺麗になってました。でも。。。ルールが多すぎて嫌！！カメラは持ち込めないし（なので今回は写真なし。。。iPhoneでこっそりと撮ってみたけどぶれて何んだか分かんない、、）、メインフロアーでステージに近く行きたかったらリストバンドを早く行ってゲットしないと行けないし。。。うちらはそんなの知らなかったから10時半ぐらいに行ってもちろんそのバンドなし！泣　だから1階のバルコニーから見るはめに。。。悲しかったー。遠いんだもん。なのでHollywood Palladiumに行く予定のある方は早めに行く事をお勧め致します〜。

ま〜ま〜、そんなこんなでもちゃんと楽しめたRatatatのショー。今回も良かった〜〜。今回は今まで一緒にやってきたプードル頭のキーボードプレイヤーは（7月14日のブログを見てね）いなくて、２人オンリーでがんばってた。でも「Classics」と「LP3」の両方のアルバムから均等に出す感じで熱演してました。他にもちらりと知らない曲が２曲ぐらい出て来てたんだけど、新曲か？？それとも昔のアルバムからで私が知らないとか。。。

でもRatatatはいつ聴いても、何回聴いても癖になる〜。リピートを何十回回しても全然飽きないし、その反対にもっと聴きたくなる！これはどうして？？多分それは、、、半音をめちゃくちゃたくさん出してるからではないでしょうか。半音フェチの私としてはもうよだれが出るほど、これでもかこれでもかっていうぐらい半音を出しまくってる！しかもシンセエレクトロの中にちょろっとクラシックロックとフレンチポップのエッセンスを入れてみました的な音楽だからもっといいんですね。きっと。あ〜もっと生で聴きたい〜〜！Hollywood Palladiumはちょっと大きいな。
