Beginning of Summer/初夏

Finally the weather is getting warmer... I prefer being in coldness though
it's already mid-May and until yesterday it was still cool! WTF!! Every morning, I always take a
time and think what to wear, and worry if it's gonna be cold when I'm done working
and go home. Now I don't have to. :) I heard the heat wave is coming in this weekend.
One of my great friends is having a birthday picnic at Griffth Park on this Sat., and
I am kinda worried if we are not going to thirst and dying on the grass...


After working out at Curves, I usually take around 15- 20min to go home by walking.
It was such a lovely evening. I had to take some photos.

It's hitting by the sunset and looks so pretty.
I think they are prime rose? Not sure...
The purple one you see next to the rose is called
"Jacaranda". I just learned this name today from
my another great friend "Junee"'s blog "Neko-Chan City".

今日はやーーっと５月らしくなってきたというか仕事が終わってビルからでた途端、とても暖かく、気持ちよかったー。昨晩も出かけたせいで、今朝から疲れが取れずに超眠かったし、仕事の後もずーっと歩きながらジムに行く、行かないと自分との戦いでやっと悪魔に勝った私はジムで30分汗を流した後、こんなきれいなごほうびをもらいました。


It was around 7PM already but still had some traffic jam on Franklin Ave.

もうすでに夜の７時を回っていたのに、まだこんなに明るかった。サンセットの日差しがとてもきれいだったので、思わずぱちり。






I stopped by at Junee's house on the way going home since she lives so close from my house.
I just had to see her cats (Mr. Myaogi, and Cleo) how much they have grown. With Elephant cap, Mr. Myaogi doesn't complain much but he seems to think... "WTF is this?? I am not your entertainer!!" That's why he gets to be a bad boy! He is sooooo cute with it though.

ぷらぷら歩いて家へ帰る途中、友人のじゅんちゃんの家がすぐそこにあるので、ちょろっと立ち寄ってみました。みすたーみゃおぎとクレオの２匹も出迎えて（？）くれましたが、すぐにクレオはカウチの下に潜り込んで隠れちゃった。。。みゃおぎの方はこの象のかぶりもので、私の胸をきゅーーんとさせてくれます。

これ、くれおちゃんの手。手だけ出てるちゅーことは！？これでも、もてなしてくれてるつもり？かわいーから許しちゃおうか！








This is the last shot of the day. Before I went to Petco,
and Target to get some stuffs, I had to take this last moment of sunset. Someone told me this is "Magic" moment.

夜、ペットコとターゲットへ買い出しに行く前、アパートから出たらこんな夜景になる寸前のショットをゲットできました。あるカメラマンが教えてくれたのがこの「夜になる寸前」は「マジックモーメント」ということ。ブルー、オレンジ、イエロー、黒、、、色んな色が生えてみえてくる。

Lunch on Tuesday

My friend at work and I take turn and cook for each other since this week.
We had another friend to begin with and we have been cooking since March
or something. But she dropped out... Now 2 of us left and making some yummy meal for each other. One of my new-year resolution was to be able to gain more recipes in my cooking skill. Knowing myself, I was pretty lazy and
not achieving it for a while, but since those friends were doing this "project" early this year, I just had to jump in to this fun opportunity.

This time I made "Oyako-don". Oyako means parents and their child = chicken and egg. hehe Oyako-don is basically cook chicken with egg and put them over rice.
But I made it with pork this time because my cooking buddy can't eat chicken... boo...
It came out pretty good except the pork was a bit hard to chew... I needed to soak in
to sake for a little longer. I know now for next time. :)

Ingredient for 2 people:

1lb Pork
2 eggs
half of onion
5 shiitake mashroom
some scallion
-sauce-
2 tbl spoon soysauce
1 tbl spoon sake
2 tbl spoon mirin
salt and papper

Am I missing something? ... don't think so.

It's very easy to make actually.
Cut thinly on pork, onion, and shiitake mashroom.
Put those sauce ingredients in pot and boil them.
When they get boiled, you put pork, onion, mashroom in the
pot. You boil them until they are cooked.

While you are waiting on boiling, you beat eggs.
When you find the pork, mashroom, and onion are cooked,
you put the eggs in it. That's it!

You put that over rice, sprinkle some scallion and voil-la!!

I wished it was chicken... Chicken tastes so much better than pork...
Oh well.

いつものお弁当の係の日がやってきました。
今回は親子丼。人生で２回目の親子丼です。結構むずかしそうだなーと
やらずに怖がっていたのですが、作ってみると１時間もしないうちに
出来ちゃった！これは簡単ということで、なんかまた近いうちに
作りそうな気配。。。友達がチキンを食べれないということで、
代わりにポークを使用。まー悪くない。でも煮すぎたせいか、ちょっと固くなった！
ごめんね、あやちゃん。。。
今度はやきそば作りますーーー。
